One of Auckland’s most celebrated restaurants is finding a new home — and we’re throwing a party as part of Restaurant Month to mark the occasion.
Cassia, the acclaimed modern Indian restaurant by Sid and Chand Sahrawat, is relocating to a new corner site at Albert and Wyndham Streets, right beside the voco Auckland. To celebrate settling into the neighbourhood, Cassia is joining forces with the Bar Albert team — thirty-eight floors above the new address — for one very special evening this August.
Sid has built Cassia’s reputation on bold, inventive cooking rooted in the flavours and spices of India — and for this night, that spirit spills beyond the dining room. Expect a carefully considered selection of snacks from Sid’s kitchen, each one a glimpse of what the new chapter holds. On arrival, enjoy a glass of champagne before moving into two cocktails conceived by the talented Bar Albert team and inspired by the bold, aromatic soul of Cassia’s cooking. Think warm spice, unexpected depth, and the kind of drinks that make you want to stay a little longer.
